This is a live recording of 'Poppies' by Julian Martin featuring 'Isotope'. This was recorded back in 2014 and features our lovely friend and sadly missed Andrew Fawcett on tenor saxophone. The track also features Ben Thomas (flugelhorn), Julian Martin (piano), Aeddan Williams (double bass) and Greg Evans (drums). The recording was made at Fieldgate studio in Penarth, South Wales.
Ben recalls that Andrew insisted on maintaining a '1 take rule' - no matter what happened during that particular take. It gave the session a nice energy and focus.
This was recorded in 2014.
