Fishing at this spot near Newport in South Wales is always a very special experience. It's a very secluded location on the mouth of the river Usk and you never quite know what's going to happen. This time we managed to land a decent catch - a lovely conger eel - which we safely returned.
As the soaring summer temperatures start to cool down we're looking forward to what the autumn sea fishing season may bring along the amazing Welsh coastline.
